The Golf stem responds to a large extent to acceleration and thrust torque and must support some of the drivetrain weight.
The original VW mount was always a compromise! This Vibra Technics design is a direct replacement for the original but allows for only a fraction of the motor movement.
Therefore, there are none of the engine inertial forces that rock the engine back and forth under throttle on and off conditions.
The car feels much "tighter" and exhaust manifolds are not subjected to high bending stress.
In addition, the level of noise and vibration transmitted to the cab is not greatly increased.
It also offers far superior comfort and isolation from engine vibration over inferior aftermarket urethane mounts.
